In support of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Madison Primary School students designed a new logo for RoofSit. The new logo was created by the students to honor the memory of their classmate Tramelle Sturgis. On November 4, 2011, 10-year-old Tramelle Sturgis was found dead after suffering several hours of abuse and torture.
Ra'hel Mason, the main designer, says it was a lot of work but he was very proud of it. "We had to draw a boy about Tramelle and I had his initials on his hat because we had to represent Tramelle."
Jennifer Pickering, with Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County says, "We have so many local child abuse cases, but this one has particularly resonated with this community. These kids needed a way to give back. They needed to celebrate Tramelle which is why it was so important to bring them out to do this today."

Drawing Out Awareness:
RoofSit Logo Contest for Kids
In 2010, U93, Martin's Supermarkets and Prevent Child Abuse St Joseph County asked kids to help create the new logo for Roof Sit.
Voting was tight between the five finalists with over 1200 total votes cast online in seven days. With 814 votes, the winning design (above) was created by Allyson, a graphic design student at Penn High School. Allyson will have her logo displayed on everything related to Roof Sit including t-shirts, posters and on the U93 website.
